We hit our first 90-degree temperature of the year in Milwaukee. It’s going to stay very warm and humid this evening and muggy overnight.
A weak frontal boundary extends into southwest Wisconsin, and a few storms may end up firing long this front. Any storms that make it into SE Wisconsin will be widely scattered. A few stronger cells may have frequent lightning and hail.
Watch: When storms move in
Southeast Wisconsin weather: Heavy rain on Wednesday
Wednesday will also be humid but not as warm, with mostly cloudy skies. Look for dry conditions early, then a low pressure system will bring a round of heavy rain and storms across southern Wisconsin from midday into the afternoon. Some storms could be strong to severe, mainly toward the state line. If the low lifts further north, more areas could then see stronger storms.
An area of low pressure will track long this front on Wednesday. This will set up multiple rounds of thunderstorms with heavy rain potential. Most of us are in line for 1-2″ of rain, but locally higher amounts are possible.
