Your First Alert to a stormy start to the weekend


MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A potent storm system is poised to move through the Mid-South Saturday bringing the threat for strong to severe storms to the area. The potential for damaging wind, hail, and isolated tornadoes will accompany this system. Fortunately, it won’t washout the weekend as a brief break in this stormy pattern is expected for Sunday.

TONIGHT: Mostly Cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower or storm along with a light Southwest wind and overnight lows in the lower 70s.

SATURDAY: Mostly Cloudy with scattered rain and t’storms along with a Southwest wind at 5 to 15 MPH and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly Cloudy with scattered rain and t’storms along with s Southwest wind at 5 to 15 MPH and overnight lows near 70.

SUNDAY: Partly Cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower along with highs in the mid to upper 80s and overnight lows near 70.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain and t’storms, highs in the mid 80s, and overnight lows in the upper 60s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower along with high temperatures in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the upper 60s. Thursday and Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain and t’storms each day along with high temperatures in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the lower 70s.
