The 2025 NCAA baseball tournament is finally here.

Sixteen national seeds have been selected, although the specific seeds have yet to be revealed, and 29 automatic qualifiers have been decided via conference championship wins.

Vanderbilt, the No. 1-ranked team in the NCAA’s RPI metrics, won the SEC tournament championship with a 3-2 win over Ole Miss on Sunday, putting itself in strong contention for the No. 1 overall seed. North Carolina also dominated Clemson 14-4 in the ACC championship, making it another contender for the top spot.

The full 64-team field will release on Monday, which includes the four teams going to each of the 16 regional locations. With that, follow along for live updates as the 64-team bracket is unveiled for the 2025 NCAA baseball tournament:

The Commodores earn the No. 1 seed of the NCAA tournament, after finishing No. 1 in the NCAA’s RPI and winning the SEC tournament on Sunday over Ole Miss.

Huge return for the Vandy Boys.

The NCAA announced Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Texas and Auburn will be the top four seeds of the NCAA tournament, although it didn’t note where each team will be specifically seeded. All four top seeds come from the SEC.

Auburn is a bit of a surprise, as it wasn’t projected in the top four by most NCAA tournament predictions, despite being No. 3 in the NCAA’s RPI. Georgia, who wasn’t included in the top four, ranks No. 2 in RPI.

Stetson earns automatic bid

Despite being down 6-5 to Florida Gulf Coast in the ASUN championship game when a weather delay struck, Stetson still earned the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament after the game was canceled.

Stetson, the No. 1 seed of the tournament, had already beaten Florida Gulf Coast once in the tournament, and had to lose twice in the championship game as it was in the winner’s bracket.

“Despite tremendous efforts, we were unable to complete the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Baseball Tournament due to inclement weather,” ASUN commissioner Jeff Bacon said in a statement. “Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) has been declared the winner of today’s first championship game and, with FGCU and Stetson University (Stetson) having a 1-1 record versus each other, both FGCU and Stetson will be recognized as 2025 ASUN co-tournament champions.

“Per ASUN policy, Stetson University will be awarded our 2025 automatic qualifier. Congratulations to both teams for an outstanding season, and best wishes to the Hatters as they continue on.”

Stetson is projected as a No. 3 seed in the Athens Regional.

The NCAA baseball tournament is divided into three rounds: the regionals, super regionals and College World Series.

The regionals comprise the 16 highest-seeded teams in the country, each of which hosts a four-team double-elimination regional. The 16 regional winners then advance to a best-of-three series in the super regional round.

From there, the eight super regional winners advance to Omaha, Nebraska for the CWS, the first portion of which, similarly to the regional round, is double elimination. Once only two teams remain — one from each side of the bracket — they play in a best-of-three championship series to determine the national champion.

The regional round of the 2025 NCAA baseball tournament will start on May 30 and run through June 2. From there the super regionals will take place from June 6-9, while the College World Series will take place from June 13-23. The CWS finals begin on June 21 and end on June 22 or June 23, depending on whether a tiebreaker is needed.
